South Carolina pastor charged with raping 3 women at gunpoint

LADSON, S.C. (AP) Dale Richardson was saved during a tent revival 32 years ago, was called to preach a Lords word in 2006 and, for a past year, had served as pastor during Freedom Free Will Baptist Church, a modest red brick structure on a South Carolina side road running along a railroad track.

Now hes in jail, charged with abduction as well as raping three women during gunpoint dual of them in a trailer behind a church as well as abduction a fourth who was not sexually assaulted.

According to an incident report, about noon on a Saturday last month, Richardson picked up a woman as well as gave her a ride. When a 20-year-old tried to get out of a car, Richardson allegedly pulled a gun, bound her hands, covered her head as well as took her to a gray-blue trailer home behind a church.

Mimimizing Rape: Who is Responsible!

By Gayle Crabtree Could someone please tell me what an alleged reporter was thinking when he wrote the piece called Vicious Assault Shakes Texas Town . In this article, the NY Times reporter James C. McKinley, JR writes about how the rape of an 11 year old is reverberating through a town. What he doesn’t write about is how the rape is reverberating through the child’s life and the life of her family. Beginning with the title, the article takes the fast track downhill. You bet the town is shaken. It should be. The reported gang rape of an 11 year old should shake any town to the core! Rape should never be condoned. Further, there is no excuse for an article to even suggest that a child (or adult) is to blame. The problem is that the tone of this article seems to side with the alleged perpetrators.
